💸 BuzzFeed stock surges by 120%

BuzzFeed announced that they will use ChatGPT to help create quizzes and other content on their platform. BuzzFeed investors loved the fact they're innovating with AI, so much so the stock price jumped by almost 120%.

This is big NEWS. I’m personally interested in seeing how this plays out and if other media companies start embracing AI to save costs and increase revenue.

We’re also going to see 100% AI-free publications too - that stand out.

🔥 Google launches text-to-music AI

Google launched MusicLM last week which converts text-to-music. And boy, is this goood. Music is having its own ChatGPT moment.

Text-to-music models are not new, and Google has been publishing new models since 2018, and although they were good, they weren't great. But their hot new paper just changed everything.

This has pretty big implications for the music industry - you can create extremely high-fidelity beats, sounds, and background ambient noise just with text.

Where's the code Sudu? They pulled a sneaky one and haven't launched the code yet. But they released a dataset and I predict Stability will be launching one very, very soon.

🌶 China is launching a ChatGPT competitor

Beijing-based Baidu has been investing heavily in AI technology and has ChatGPT on its radar.

China is a sleeping behemoth in AI. Chinese universities publish more top quality research than US universities. Tsinghua and Peking uni are the leaders.

PS: China has the most interest in ChatGPT-related searches too on google.

Andi: We have a new ChatGPT competitor with real-time search capabilities. Andi is YC-backed and shows promise!
