📣 BING AI IS HERE LADIES AND GENTS

Bing AI launched with a bang. Microsoft has been teasing us for a while, and they finally integrated ChatGPT-like functionality into Bing and Edge, among other AI features.  We've tested it out and it's awesome. Here's the rundown

  • Better and faster AI search

  • AI integration in both Bing search and Edge browser

  • Imrpoved Edge and ChatGPT in browser

"We’re excited to announce the new Bing is running on a new, next-generation OpenAI large language model that is more powerful than ChatGPT and customized specifically for search. It takes key learnings and advancements from ChatGPT and GPT-3.5 – and it is even faster, more accurate and more capable"

Buuut...Google dropped the ball and fumbled their launch of BARD, their ChatGPT competitor. Sundar is feeling the heat! However, I wouldn't worry too much about this. Google is still a mammoth and absolutely dominates search.

They've also invested 300M in Anthropic AI, a solid OpenAI competitor.  

It's looking like Google Bard + Anthropic AI VS Microsoft Bing + OpenAI.

🔥 REDDIT  JAILBREAKS CHATGPT 

Well, well, well.  Every time OpenAI patches ChatGPT up, Reddit always finds a way to break it. The fast-growing r/ChatGPT subreddit (236K subs as of now) launched DAN.

What?  DAN is a "roleplay" model used to hack the ChatGPT AI into thinking it is pretending to be another AI that can "Do Anything Now", hence the name. The purpose of DAN is to be the best version of ChatGPT - or at least one that is more unhinged and far less likely to reject prompts. 

Good or bad? Well, enforcing Ethical and Safe AI is important, and all these Jailbreaks only make ChatGPT better. Although this is fun, they can be used for malicious purposes. Good for the short-term, bad in the grander scheme of things.  

🌶 HUBERMAN GETS DEEPFAKED

What? Over the weekend, a viral clip was shared on Twitter. Joe Rogan and Professor Andrew Huberman discuss male libido supplements, and Rogan urges his listeners to buy a specific brand called "Alpha Grind".  This was a DeepFake. 

The original tweet and video have been removed, but here's what the doc had to say.

The main issue with this fake video was NOT the Deepfake, but the immaculate voice cloning. What makes this video convincing is it sounds like Dr. Huberman was talking about the product perfectly. 

Impact: Do you think fake news is bad now? It's going to get much, much worse.
